Trainee Remortgage Case Handler
Do you write a lot of Lists? Are you always on Time? Do you book way ahead for important events?

This is an advert for a Trainee Remortgage Case Handler role. We are looking for people who are motivated to learn, want to contribute to a friendly and dynamic team and aren't afraid to share their views. No legal experience is necessary, all legal training will be provided throughout your early career.
Responsibilities for a Case Handler:
- Join a small team, led by a professional legal expert, who will manage the progression of client's remortgage cases.
- From initial instruction, the Case Handler will act as their client's 'Project Manager', making sure all correct details are collected, and the relevant processes are followed.
- The Case Handler will be talking to their client, coordinating with our internal experts and liaising with 3rd parties (other legal services firms, brokers, lenders, Land Registry, etc) to progress the case to "Completion". This is where Lenders will transfer the money from one to another with our instructions, and His Majesty's Land Registry is updated with new details.
- Every case is different, as every client is different, and our job is to understand this and manage the case accordingly.
- At the heart of the process is our custom-built case management system, that supports our Case Handlers with organising their cases and automating mundane processes.
Requirements:
- Some office experience is required, as this is not suitable for newbies to the office world.
- It will be fast-paced training and your responsibilities will grow in a controlled manner with plenty of support.
- Gordons is a premium legal service provider and as such requires our people to be willing and able to deliver high quality customer service.
- Good time management and prioritisation of a multitude of tasks.
- Good IT skills, to enable you to work most efficiently with our fully digital systems.
- A genuine Team Player, who fits with our ethos of a positive, can-do attitude.
- Works well under pressure (to meet client and lender deadlines).
- This role may be conducted within our Maidenhead office, remotely or a hybrid combination. Note - all training and trainees will be required to be in the office.

Conveyancing Legal Assistant
Conveyancing Legal Assistants are paired with one of our highly experienced Conveyancers to support them in fulfilling our clients Sale or Purchase of their homes. Our Conveyancing Legal Assistants do much more than simple administration duties and so is an ideal opportunity for someone wanting a foothold in the Legal Servoces industry wanting to gain some valuable experience to progress their career, or for an experience administrator who wants more purpose and responsibility than most office jobs can offer.
Our Conveyancing Legal Assistants will receive full professional training on the job and supported throught out their onboarding period. We are looking for detailed-orientated and organised individuals who work well in a 2 man team alongside their Experienced Conveyancer. We have a reputation for excellence in customer service and will be looking for individuals who are comfortable communicating with clients and are willing to go above and beyond when it comes to satisfying expectations.
Modern-day conveyancing is digital and relies heavily on systems that help with automating certain repeatable tasks. Although thorough training and support will be provided to everyone joining our firm, it would help if the chosen candidate was comfortable with basic IT systems and able to learn quickly how to navigate through a case management system.
Experience in Professional Services / Customer Services, especially of managing a number of clients in a pipeline of work, is highly desirable, but we're looking to hire on personal values (we can teach the rest). Duties Include:
- Assist with the preparation and completion of legal documents related to property transactions
- Conduct research and analyze property information
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Coordinate appointments and manage calendars
- Provide administrative support to the conveyancing team as needed

Experienced Residential Conveyancer
A Residential Conveyancer is required to join small, friendly, growing team in Maidenhead (Flexible & Home working available). Gordons Property Lawyers as a well establish, highly reputable family-owned firm in the heart of Thames Valley. We pride ourselves on outstanding service and are a people-orientated business, differentiating ourselves through our expertise and our human touch.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage your own caseload in the provision of Sale & Purchase residential conveyancing to your own clients. Supported with your own dedicated, highly experienced Conveyancing Assistant, and a shared Legal Support team (Client Onboarding), Post Exchange and Post Completion teams. We utilise a customised Visual Files Case Management system to automate many of the monotonous and routine tasks.
What we're looking for
- Minimum experience in residential conveyancing and managing own caseload required is 3 years (ideally 5 years+), with ability to manage both Freehold and Leasehold cases
- Good character and wholesome value set
- Demonstrable evidence of excellent client service
- Experience with Case Management systems preferred
